The workshop brought together approximately 25 Korean language educators and administrators from universities, including the University of Alberta and the University of Victoria, as well as K–12 Korean language programs and community-based Korean language schools across Western Canada.
Participants shared their teaching experiences, curricula, instructional materials, and pedagogical practices across educational settings. Discussions focused on building a sustainable community of practice, strengthening professional networks, sharing teaching resources and effective instructional approaches, and exploring opportunities for future collaboration among universities, K–12 programs, and community-based Korean language schools.
The workshop was made possible through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, providing a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections and foster ongoing collaboration among Korean language educators in Western Canada.
