
Anushka Lahiry, a third-year Psychology student and a dedicated learner in the Korean Language and Culture Program, has won first place in the Advanced Category at the Toronto Speech Contest.
The prestigious event took place on March 14th at the University of Toronto. Anushka captivated the audience with her insightful speech titled, “두려움이 뭘까요? (What is Fear?)”.
This victory marks a remarkable back-to-back success for Anushka, who also secured the top spot in the Intermediate Category at the same competition last year. In recognition of her exceptional eloquence and commitment to mastering the Korean language, she was awarded a Smart Watch and a scholarship for a Korean language program at Korea University.
